James Van Der Beek's Dawson's Creek co-star, Joshua Jackson, has spoken publicly about the actor's death for the first time.

The actor, 48, died on 11 February following a stage 3 colorectal cancer diagnosis.

Speaking on the Today show, Jackson paid tribute to a “good man” and “a beautiful, kind, curious, interested, dedicated father."

"For me, as a father now, I think the enormity of that tragedy for his family hits me in a very different way than just as a colleague. So I think the processing is ongoing," he said.
