The post DBKL Returns Seized ‘Street Dakwah’ Items After M’sian Preacher Meets with PMX’s Political Secretary appeared first on WORLD OF BUZZ.

Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) recently confirmed that there was a breach of regulations involving a tent set up by the Multiracial Reverted Muslims (MRM) NGO along Jalan Bukit Bintang, in front of Bangunan Yayasan Selangor, which prompted enforcement action.

DBKL stated the tent was placed on a pedestrian walkway, a public space that must remain clear at all times to ensure safety and allow people to move around smoothly.

Seized items returned following meeting with PM’s Political Secretary

Following the enforcement action, DBKL has returned the “street dakwah” items belonging to MRM. This follows a meeting with the Prime Minister’s Political Secretary, Azman Abidin.

Malaysian preacher Firdaus Wong Wai Hung shared the update on his Facebook page, confirming that the seized materials were returned immediately after the discussion.

“Even though I am no longer the chairman or working with MRM, I still fully support their dakwah efforts. I hope friends will continue to back MRM as well,” he wrote.

Lack of documentation during the seizure raised concerns

Earlier, Firdaus had raised concerns over the authorities’ decision to seize the MRM booth and materials used for street dakwah activities around Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur.

The MRM founder noted that, according to the information he received, no summons or inventory list was issued during the seizure to specify the alleged offence or list the confiscated items.

Firdaus said his meeting with Azman covered several other topics besides the MRM issue, adding that the discussion ended with an agreement that the MRM dakwah items previously seized by DBKL would be returned.
