PETALING JAYA: The sessions court in Kota Bharu has set Dec 8 and 9 for the trial of a man facing seven charges, including possession of a firearm, following a shooting at KLIA Terminal 1 in April.

Judge Zulkifli Abllah fixed the dates during re-mention of the case today and asked the lawyer representing Hafizul Hawari to submit a representation before the trial begins.

The proceedings were handled by deputy public prosecutor Ahmad Faiz Fitri Mohamad, and Hafizul was represented by Nik Faris Syazwan Zainuzzaman, Bernama reported.

Ahmad Faiz told the court he has not received any instruction for the case to be transferred, following an earlier application by Nik Faris, who said his client was also facing a charge for attempted murder at the Sepang sessions court.
