PETALING JAYA: National badminton men’s doubles pair Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik have again failed to make the Olympics final after losing to China’s Liang Wei Keng-Wang Chang in their semi-final match today.
Aaron-Wooi Yik, who won the bronze medal at the Tokyo Games in 2021, lost 19-21, 21-15, 17-21 to the world No. 1 pair.
The Malaysians will take part in the play-off for the bronze medal on Sunday, where they will face either Kim Astrup-Anders Skaarup Rasmussen of Denmark or Taiwan’s Lee Yang-Wang Chi Lin, who took gold in the last Olympics.
