MANILA, Philippines — There will be no podium finish for Olympian rower Joanie Delgaco as she placed sixth in the women's single sculls final at the 2026 Asian Games on Thursday in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan.
Delgaco clocked 8:01.63, finishing last in Finals A.
China’s Xinyu Zhang bagged the gold medal with a time of 7:21.53, while Uzbekistan’s Anna Prakaten (7:23.99) and Iran’s Fatemeh Mojallaltopraghghale (7:35.99) took the silver and bronze medals, respectively.
Delgaco, the first Filipina rower to compete in the Olympics, booked a finals slot in Japan after clocking 8:25.47 on Wednesday.
