Delhi Lieutenant Governor (LG) Taranjit Singh Sandhu visited Plaksha University on Saturday to interact with leadership, faculty, and students, emphasising on the role of interdisciplinary education, real-world exposure, and responsible leadership in shaping India’s future.

A key highlight of the visit was Sandhu’s address to over 380 high school students participating in YTS+, the university’s summer program.

Speaking during a fireside chat, the former diplomat drew upon his three-decade career in the Indian Foreign Service to inspire students to remain curious and strive for excellence. He emphasised that exposure to diverse cultures and viewpoints is crucial for personal and professional growth, noting that learning alongside peers from various regions offers a distinct advantage. Concluding the session, Sandhu stressed that true leadership is built on teamwork, empathy and accountability, urging students to make a meaningful global impact while proudly representing India.
