The Delhi Police Crime Branch traced and reunited two missing minor girls with their families, exposing the hidden struggles of teenage stress, broken homes and emotional vulnerability.
The Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) of the Crime Branch recovered the two girls from different locations in Delhi after intensive search operations involving technical surveillance, field intelligence and ground-level tracking.
In the first case, a 16-year-old girl who had been missing since January 11, 2026, was traced from the Wazirabad area.
During investigation, police discovered that the teenager had been living under severe emotional stress due to frequent fights at home allegedly linked to her father’s alcohol addiction. Unable to cope with the situation, she reportedly left home without informing her family and went to stay with her maternal aunt.
After being safely recovered, the girl was handed over to Wazirabad Police Station for further legal procedures.
In another operation, the AHTU traced a 15-year-old girl who had been missing since October 2024 from the Budh Vihar area.
According to police, the girl had met a boy and voluntarily left home without informing her family members.
Months later, the Crime Branch received secret information about her presence in Rithala Village. Acting swiftly, the police team launched a search operation and successfully recovered her from the area. She was later handed over to Budh Vihar Police Station for legal formalities.
