
Delhi Public School, Jhakri, celebrated the annual function ‘Global Harmony’ to felicitate students and showcase the cultural presentation based on ‘Global Harmony’ (One Earth, One Family, Many Cultures) where students exhibited cultural dances from India and abroad. Ravi Vira Gupta, Chairman, DPS, Jhakri, was the chief guest. Vrinda Sarup, Vice-Chair-person, DPS, Jhakri, and Dr HK Paliwal, member, DPS, Jhakri, were the guests of honour. Rajeev Kapoor, HOP, NJHPS-cum Pro-Vice Chairman, DPS, Jhakri, LMC members and other distinguished dignitaries were also present on the grand occasion. The event started with formal welcome and felicitation of the guests by the Principal followed by lamp lighting ceremony and devotional dance. The Principal read the annual report of the school, followed by beautiful folk dances of Himachal, Punjab, Rajasthan and Maharashtra. In the Phase I of Academic Excellence Awards, 56 students were felicitated by the chief guest. The international dances of Nepal, Arabia, South Korea and Philippines stole the show and were highly appreciated by all. Ravi Vira Gupta, in his address, appreciated the school’s academic incline and expressed his thoughts regarding the career options and importance of right decisions and counselling for the students. Rajeev Kapoor proposed the vote of thanks and the event culminated with the rendition of the national anthem.
