Delve into the heart.
That’s a better way to get a successful relationship.
Relationship at work or in life.
Most disagreements or arguments come about from not understanding what the other person has in mind.
Sounds obvious, right?
And yet, here we are. Talking over each other. Assuming we already know. Then wondering why things fall apart.
We spend so much energy crafting the perfect response that we forget to actually absorb what was just said to us.
If you don’t know what your customer wants, you might lose them sooner or later.
Not dramatically. Not with a big breakup speech.
Just a quiet “we’re going with someone else” email at 4:55 pm.
Cold, swift, and completely avoidable….if only someone had asked the right questions earlier.
If you don’t know what your partner wants, you might lose them sooner or later too.
And that version comes with a lot more paperwork.
That’s why listening more is a better move. When you listen more, you’ll have more chances to understand what their wants and needs are.
A simple math.
Except most of us skipped that class.
So before you speak, pause.
Ask a question. Then actually listen. (Revolutionary concept, I know.)
People don’t just want to be heard.
They want to feel heard.
Big difference.
There’s a massive gap between someone nodding along while composing something else on their phone, and someone who genuinely locks in. People can tell which one you’re doing.
They always can.
That’s the difference between keeping a client and losing one. Between a happy partner and a divorce lawyer (can break your bank too).
The best communicators are the ones who make you feel like you are the most important person in the room.
Because they listen like it actually matters.
That’s not a soft skill. That’s a superpower.
And honestly? It’s free.
