The State Institute of Hotel Management (SIHM), Dharamsala, is offering admission to various degree and diploma programmes in hotel management and culinary arts for the academic session 2026-27. There is no age limit for admission to any programme offered by the SIHM, Dharamsala. The institute is jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Tourism and the Department of Tourism and Civil Aviation and is affiliated with the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology.

Established in 2012, the institute has been imparting professional education in hospitality and culinary arts with strong focus on practical learning and skill development. Its campus is equipped with modern training kitchens, bakery and confectionery units in line with industry standards.

Officiating principal Vinay Dhiman said students graduating from the institute were currently employed in government as well as reputed private hospitality sectors, including five-star luxury hotels, airlines, cruise liners, state tourism corporations and the IRCTC. The alumni of the institute were also working with leading brands such as Marriott, Hyatt, Novotel, St. Regis etc, he added.

The institute also provides internship and placement opportunities in reputed five-star hotels. Students, who have passed Class XII in any stream and are interested in building a career in the tourism and hospitality sector, can apply for admission.
