MANILA, Philippines — Diesel prices are expected to go up while gasoline is projected to go down for the second straight week due to the escalation of conflict in the Middle East, local oil industry sources said on Friday.
They said that diesel prices may rise between P2.00 and P2.50 per lite and gasoline to decline between P1 and P1.50 per liter.
They also said that these estimates were based on the 4-day trading of Mean of Platts, Singapore, the pricing basis of refined goods in Southeast Asia.
They also noted that these prices did not include the added freight transport costs.
Diesel prices this week went up by up to P2.60 per liter, while gasoline prices dropped by up to P4.30 per liter.
