MANILA, Philippines — Diesel prices are estimated to go up while gasoline is projected to roll back next week following a plan to release more diesel into the market, and with various Asian refineries returning from shutdowns, local oil industry sources said on Friday.
They said that diesel prices would slightly increase between P0.20 and P0.40 per liter while gasoline is expected to decrease between P4 and P4.20 per liter.
These estimates are based on the 4-day trading of Mean of Platts, Singapore, the pricing basis of refined goods in Southeast Asia.
Diesel prices went down by up to P3.01 per liter, while gasoline increased by up to P1.56 per liter.
