DIGIPLUS Interactive Corp. on Tuesday reported a 12-percent decline in net income to P8.9 billion in the first nine months of 2026, from P10.11 billion last year, as weaker gaming revenues weighed on earnings despite improved operating efficiency.
The operator of BingoPlus, ArenaPlus and GameZone said net gaming revenue (NGR) after tax fell 17 percent year-on-year to P16.2 billion as of September amid a weaker macroeconomic environment.
DigiPlus President Ping Chen said the company would continue prioritizing operating efficiency while expanding its user base.
“We remain focused on sustainable growth through self-development of compelling content, stronger user acquisitions and retention, and disciplined spending on A&P and investments,” he said.
Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (Ebitda), meanwhile, dropped 25.4 percent to P8.3 billion from P11.13 billion.
Despite the year-on-year declines, DigiPlus said profitability margins improved in the third quarter, with Ebitda edging up 0.3 percent quarter-on-quarter to P2.9 billion.
Its Ebitda margin expanded by four percentage points to 22 percent, reflecting more effective advertising and promotional spending, optimized direct gaming costs and tighter operating expense controls.
The company’s NGR after-tax margin, measured against gross gaming revenue (GGR), widened by five percentage points quarter-on-quarter to 40 percent.
The measure deducts regulatory shares and fees paid to the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. (Pagcor), game provider fees, marketing and promotional expenses, payment channel fees, other direct gaming costs and applicable taxes from gaming revenues.
The company said P8.9-billion net income included fair value gains from its investment in convertible bonds issued by International Entertainment Corp. (IEC).
DigiPlus invested P12.2 billion in IEC convertible notes in the first half of the year, with the investment generating a non-cash gain.
The company ended September with P11.7 billion in cash and cash equivalents, up 11 percent from the previous quarter, after paying P3.8 billion in dividends and making the IEC investment during the first half.
Its average monthly active users increased 3 percent quarter-on-quarter to 5.9 million, while monthly active bettors and depositors rose 5 percent to 4.9 million.
The company also reported paying P13.9 billion in taxes and regulatory fees during the first nine months of the year.
The firm’s foundation was said to have invested P34.6 million in sustainable development initiatives during the period, bringing its cumulative contributions since inception to P166.5 million and number of beneficiaries to 1.2 million Filipinos.
DigiPlus share price fell by 20 centavos to close at P6.58 each on Tuesday.
