DIGIPLUS Interactive Corp. has partnered with Sportradar Group AG to strengthen safeguards against match-fixing and suspicious betting, a move it claimed was a first in the Philippine gaming industry.
The company said its sportsbook platform, ArenaPlus, had been integrated into Sportradar’s Integrity Exchange (SIE), a global intelligence-sharing network that allows betting operators to report and receive alerts on irregular wagering activities in real time.
The integration enables the exchange of data on suspicious betting patterns, which are analyzed using artificial intelligence and expert monitoring to detect possible manipulation across markets.
“Joining the SIE network is a strategic move to further enhance the ArenaPlus platform,” ArenaPlus head Erick Su said.
“By exchanging critical data with an established firm, we are ensuring a safer environment for our users and playing an integral role in protecting the integrity of the sports we support.”
Sportradar said the collaboration would expand its monitoring reach in the region by combining operator data with its fraud detection systems and integrity services.
“The SIE complements our wide range of integrity services, including the Universal Fraud Detection System AI and education program to help enhance sports integrity globally,” said Andreas Krannich, executive vice president for integrity services.
“Partnering with ArenaPlus, which shares our commitment to transparency and integrity, is an important step in strengthening the region’s betting ecosystem,” he added.
DigiPlus said the partnership would reinforce existing controls and reflected a push to promote transparency and responsible gaming as it grows its digital entertainment platforms, including BingoPlus and GameZone.
The company’s shares on Friday rose P0.08, or 0.53 percent, to close at P15.06 each. NAZYLEN JOY MABANGLO
