Shia LaBeouf admitted to consuming alcohol daily while serving two years of probation stemming from a Mardi Gras altercation in New Orleans.
The actor pleaded guilty to misdemeanor battery charges in June after punching and head-butting three men at a local bar in February.
Court documents seen by Complex and first reported by TMZ show that LaBeouf “self-reported that he drinks alcohol daily” and declined mental-health treatment.
Despite his sentence and a history of alcohol-related arrests, LaBeouf previously denied having a drinking problem, attributing his behavior to anger and ego.
He could face up to six months in jail if he fails to complete the mandated terms of his probation, including anger-management training and substance-abuse treatment.
