
Kota Kinabalu: The disputed 7,200 sq ft school land at SJK(C) Chung Hwa here has finally come to a successful conclusion - the long-awaited one-hectare school land title in exchange for 7,200 sq ft in Likas has been obtained.
Kota Kinabalu Chinese Chamber of Commerce (KKCCCI) President Datuk Michael Lui led the presidential council members of KKCCCI to pay a courtesy call on Land Department Director Datuk Sr Bernard Liew.
It was to express gratitude for issuing the 9,975.7 sq m (about one hectare) educational land TL017564742 (Term Lease expired on Dec 31, 2121) located in the parking lot and surrounding open space of SJK(C) Chung Hwa Likas under the name of the KKCCCI in the shortest time.
At the same time, KKCCCI also received the land tittle of 2.2 acres (8,894.1 sq m) TL017564733 located at SJK (C) Chung Hwa Kota Kinabalu with the extension of term lease which will expire on Dec 31, 2120.
“This is indeed great news for KKCCC! After years of persistence, we finally succeeded in obtaining the relevant land title.
