MANILA, Philippines — The Ateneo de Manila University on Thursday said the remains of Blue Eagles basketball player Divine Adili returned to Lagos, Nigeria.
Adili’s family received the remains of the late player.
“We are grateful to share that Divine Adili has safely returned home to Nigeria, where he was received by his family upon his arrival in Lagos,” the university said on Thursday.
The university said its representative, Fr. Sigmund “Munching” de Guzman SJ, accompanied Adili.
“Divine’s parents expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Ateneo community and to all who helped bring him home with dignity and care,” the university said.
