Super agent Pini Zahavi was the key broker between Tottenham and Jose Mourinho, it has been revealed.
While Mourinho's agent is Jorge Mendes, Le 10 Sport says Zahavi was the biggest influence on his appointment as new manager of Tottenham.
Zahavi is close to both Mourinho and Spurs chairman Daniel Levy and has largely drove negotiations over the last 24 hours.
Indeed, it's suggested Zahavi also oversaw contract negotiations on behalf of both parties as Mourinho agreed terms last night on a deal to 2023.
Mourinho had been out of work since his sacking by Manchester United in December in 2018.
Borussia Dortmund, AC Milan and clubs in China had all made contact with Mourinho in recent months, but his priority was to remain in London - a factor which contributed to the swiftness of today's agreement.
