DJI launches the Osmo 360 II in Malaysia with 8K 360-degree video, 105GB storage, enhanced low-light performance and prices from RM2,189
DJI HAS launched its latest 360-degree camera, the Osmo 360 II, in Malaysia, featuring 8K video recording, enhanced low-light capabilities and 105GB of built-in storage.
The company said the next-generation camera was developed using imaging, stabilisation and colour technologies from its drone and handheld camera products.
A key feature is an advanced one-inch square HDR image sensor, which DJI said increases sensor utilisation by 25% while supporting a dynamic range of up to 14.5 stops.
The camera can record 8K 360-degree video at up to 60 frames per second, with 2.4-micron pixels and an AI-based noise-reduction system called AI SuperNight 2.0 designed to improve image quality in low-light conditions.
The Osmo 360 II also supports HDR 360-degree photographs at up to 120 megapixels, 16K 360-degree timelapse and 10-bit colour depth across its video formats.
For slow-motion content, DJI said the camera supports up to 64x panoramic slow motion through AI frame interpolation in DJI Studio, while its 8K/120fps Vortex mode is designed to produce wraparound slow-motion footage.
The camera features 10-bit and D-Log M colour profiles, allowing creators to capture a wider range of colours for post-production.
Designed for outdoor use
DJI said the Osmo 360 II was designed for a range of outdoor activities, including motorcycling, diving, skiing and cycling.
It can be used underwater to a depth of 10 metres without additional equipment, while the Invisible Waterproof Case allows operation at depths of up to 50 metres.
The camera is also rated for use in temperatures as low as -20°C, according to DJI.
For cycling and other high-movement activities, its stabilisation system is designed to reduce the effects of camera movement. Features such as Gesture Control, Voice Control and a Sports Dashboard overlay are also included.
For vloggers, the camera’s Invisible Selfie Stick is designed to provide a third-person perspective, while Dual Recording allows users to capture different subjects and scenery within the same recording.
Built-in storage and replaceable lenses
The Osmo 360 II weighs 183g and comes with 105GB of built-in storage.
DJI said its battery can provide up to 100 minutes of continuous recording at 8K/30fps, while the battery can be charged to 80% in about 22 minutes.
The runtime can be extended by up to 180 minutes when used with the optional Battery Extension Rod.
The camera also features replaceable lenses with an ultra-hard optical film designed to improve resistance to scratches and wear.
Other features include Spotlight Follow, which uses subject tracking to keep a selected subject centred as the camera rotates.
A new NFC connection area allows the camera to connect to the DJI Mimo app with a single tap for tasks such as transferring footage and accessing editing functions.
The camera is also compatible with DJI’s OsmoAudio Direct Microphone Connection system, including the DJI Mic 3, Mic 2 and other supported DJI microphones.
Malaysia pricing
DJI said the Osmo 360 II would be available in Malaysia in three configurations, with the specific local availability date to be announced later this month.
The Standard Combo is priced at RM2,189, while the Adventure Combo costs RM2,629 and the Limitless Riding Combo RM2,299.
As part of a launch promotion, customers who purchase and activate an eligible Osmo 360 II Series product between Sept 2 and Sept 30 will receive a complimentary DJI Care Refresh one-year plan.
The protection plan covers accidental damage, including water damage and collisions, subject to its terms and conditions.
DJI is also showcasing the Osmo 360 II at IFA 2026 in Berlin from Sept 4 to 8, where visitors can experience the camera at the company’s booth.
