Dayanand Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) celebrated International Nurses Day to recognise their selfless service and resolve.

A blood donation camp was also organised during the event themed ‘Our Nurses. Our Future. Empowered Nurses Save Lives’.

Dr Jayasudha A, principal, College of Nursing, delivered the welcome address. Congratulating all nurses, she said they were the heartbeat of healthcare, and it was their compassion, dedication and commitment that formed the backbone of every health institution.

DMCH principal Dr GS Wander also expressed his gratitude and said, “The contribution of nurses towards patient care is beyond words. Their professionalism, empathy and tireless efforts ensure quality healthcare delivery and inspire the entire medical fraternity.”

Best wards and best nurses were honoured with awards in recognition of their outstanding service, dedication and commitment to patient care.
