DMCI Homes readying Batangas beach resort for opening next year

DMCI Homes Inc., the real estate arm of listed DMCI Holdings Inc., plans open its first large-scale beach park resort in Batangas next year through wholly owned subsidiary DMCI Project Developers Inc.

The company on Tuesday said that Solmera Beach Park Resort in San Juan, Batangas, was targeted for opening in February 2027 as part of its 7.5-hectare Solmera Coast estate.

The beachfront destination combines leisure amenities with facilities for events and group gatherings to cater to both tourists and organized functions, DMCI Homes said.

The development will have landscaped open spaces, lounge areas and activity zones. A key feature will be a 4,000-square-meter pool complex complemented by spa and wellness facilities.

Additional amenities will include a sky deck pool and a sky promenade.

Dining options will range from all-day dining venues, specialty restaurants, roof deck function spaces, lobby bars, snack bars and food kiosks.

The resort will also offer studio-type and one- and two-bedroom units for individuals, families and groups.

There would also be multiple function rooms and roof deck venues, and a main convention center with over 2,000 square meters of space ringed by a 935-square-meter veranda.

A separate multipurpose hall and outdoor lawns will also be available for conferences, banquets, exhibitions and social events in addition to a basketball court, indoor gym and kiddie play area.

DMCI Homes President Alfredo Austria said the company was focused on establishing strong operational systems ahead of the resort’s opening.

“Our immediate priority is to put the right operating systems and people in place to ensure consistent service delivery, efficient property management and reliable guest experiences,” he said.

Austria added that the scale and integrated concept of the resort would support the development of a dedicated hospitality management team under DMCI Hospitality and Leisure Inc.

Shares of DMCI Holdings climbed P0.06, or 0.75 percent, to close at P8.06 each on Tuesday.
