Doc Rivers has strongly pushed back against recent reporting about unrest within the Milwaukee Bucks, calling out Shams Charania’s claims and even bringing Adrian Wojnarowski into the conversation.
The report suggested there were issues inside the Bucks locker room and that players were beginning to lose faith in their head coach.
Rivers, however, has firmly rejected that narrative, making it clear he does not agree with how the situation has been portrayed.
The Bucks head coach’s response was not just a denial; it was a direct challenge to the credibility of the report itself.

Doc Rivers calls out Shams Charania over Milwaukee Bucks locker room report
Rivers addressed the situation in a clip shared via Run It Back, where he dismissed the claims and offered his own version of events.
Rivers said, “We have a great relationship. Shams wrote an article that was so inaccurate that I don’t have enough time to go into [it].
“He talked about a locker room thing and I was laughing like, ‘Yeah, we had a tough locker room day we lost to the Chicago Bulls with a 20-point lead.'”
The comment suggests that what may have been framed as a deeper issue was, in Rivers’ view, simply the natural frustration that comes with a difficult loss. Rather than indicating dysfunction, he portrayed it as a routine part of a team responding to adversity.
By directly addressing the report, Rivers also signaled confidence in his relationship with the players, pushing back against any suggestion that the locker room dynamic is deteriorating.
Doc Rivers jokes about Adrian Wojnarowski while defending the Bucks’ environment
Rivers continued by explaining what actually took place behind the scenes, offering insight into how the team handled the situation following the loss.
He added, “I showed clips the next day of guys who were screwing up. That’s what happens in a locker room. The first thing I thought was, ‘Where is Woj? I miss Woj so much.'”
The reference to Adrian Wojnarowski added a layer of humor to his response, while also hinting at his preference for different reporting styles. It underscored his frustration with the narrative, even as he chose to address it in a relatively light-hearted manner.
Rivers’ explanation reinforces the idea that accountability and film review are standard practices, rather than signs of deeper issues within the team.
As the Bucks continue their season, his comments serve as a clear message that, from his perspective, the locker room remains intact despite the external noise.
