The police here have booked a doctor for allegedly raping a 15-year-old girl in Sanauli village.
Accused RK Tiwari (45) is currently absconding.
The case was registered on a complaint filed by the girl’s family. Investigating officer ASI Harvinder Singh said a complaint was received on June 16, stating that the accused raped the minor girl when she went to him for treatment.
The police have registered the case under Section 64(2) of the BNS and the POCSO Act. The police said the victim was undergoing a medical examination. Meanwhile, raids are being conducted to arrest the accused. Officials said he would be arrested soon. Tiwari had been treating people in Sanauli village for a long time. The police are examining his medical records to determine whether he possessed a valid degree and licence.
