Brother of Nur Atiqah Sofiya heartbreakingly pays tribute

Following the tragic incident, a man believed to be the brother of the late Nur Atiqah Sofiya took to social media to share his grief over the sudden loss of his sister.

The man reflected on the heartbreaking moment when he had to identify his sister and her family, sharing that the first thing he asked the doctor was whether they had felt any pain during the accident.

“Sofiya, I don’t know how to process the fact that you’re gone, Armaan is gone, and Naza is gone. When I read the news, it felt like a dream. Is it really true? It wasn’t until I had to gather the courage myself to identify their bodies that it finally sank in. The Almighty protected you, Naza and Armaan. Your faces were still beautiful and clearly recognisable.

“I listened to the forensic doctor explain the injuries they had sustained, but I only asked the doctor one thing, ‘Doctor, did they feel any pain?’. The doctor said ‘no, they didn’t feel any pain’, and I felt relieved,” he wrote.

He also shared that he and his children would now have to come to terms with four-year-old Armaan’s absence, as he had been a close companion to them.

“You helped me build my bakery business when I first started, and you were always giving me feedback to help me improve the shop I have today. In return, I always encouraged you to take the business further. I told you that baking was your passion, and I’m glad you pursued it. I know many people will miss your cakes, including me.

“Forever my sister, forever the ‘Mangah’ to Raufah, Radwa and Raesa, and ‘Angah’ to all of us. Rest peacefully there with Armaan and Naza. Wait for us in the eternal realm.”
