Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah Action Body Advocating Rights (Sabar) trustees said the regulatory gas Bills recently passed in the State Legislative Assembly does not mean Sabah now owns its own oil and gas resources.
Its Chairman Datuk Dr Johan Ariffin Samad said the Gas Distribution rights only concerns the downstream licensing and control of gas.
“(It does) not in any way impinge Petronas’ vested interest and ownership of oil and gas resources under the Petroleum Development Act 1974.
