LOS ANGELES: Luka Doncic delivered a 38-point triple-double to fuel a Los Angeles Lakers comeback in a 115-107 road victory over the Denver Nuggets.
The Lakers trailed 71-57 at halftime after Jamal Murray’s explosive 26-point first half for Denver.
An improved defensive effort after the break stifled Murray and allowed Doncic and LeBron James to lead the fightback.
Doncic finished with 38 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists, while James added 19 points, nine rebounds and eight assists.
“They were playing great basketball, Murray playing at an All-Star level,” Doncic said. “We just stayed together and fought this out.”
The Lakers outscored Denver 58-36 in the second half to seal the win.
In other action, the Houston Rockets snapped the San Antonio Spurs’ three-game winning streak with a 111-106 victory.
Reed Sheppard led Houston with 21 points off the bench, including 12 in the fourth quarter to complete a comeback from a 16-point deficit.
“We had good energy the whole game,” Sheppard said. “It was a great team effort.”
San Antonio’s shooting collapsed in the final period, making only 7-of-28 from the field and missing all 13 three-point attempts.
The Golden State Warriors, reeling from Jimmy Butler’s season-ending knee injury, were thumped 145-127 by the Toronto Raptors behind Immanuel Quickley’s 40 points.
The Chicago Bulls hit 25 three-pointers in a 138-110 rout of the Los Angeles Clippers, led by Coby White’s 27 points.
In Salt Lake City, Keyonte George scored 43 points to lead the Utah Jazz to a 127-122 upset over the Minnesota Timberwolves and Anthony Edwards’ 38-point effort.
