Racing de Montevideo have confirmed Santiago Mourino has joined Atletico Madrid.
The young Uruguayan defender is regarded among the best prospects in his country.
Mourino is expected to do preseason with Atletico before a decision is made over he stays or is loaned out for the new season.
The 21 yea-old is also capable of playing at right-back.
