THE Department of Tourism (DOT) launched “Discover More to Love,” a local tourism campaign offering more than 3,000 travel deals to encourage Filipinos to explore destinations across the country.
Running from July to November 2026, the campaign brings together over 70 hotels and resorts, airlines, tour operators, online travel platforms and payment partners offering up to 70-percent discounts.
The DOT said travelers can access direct booking options, staycation packages, bundled experiences, flexible booking arrangements and curated seasonal promotions from accredited tourism enterprises on its website.
Tourism Secretary Bernardita Angara-Mathay said the initiative complements, rather than replaces, the country’s official tourism brand by encouraging more Filipinos to discover attractions closer to home.
”Love the Philippines is still our national tourism brand, while ‘Discover More to Love’ is a domestic tourism campaign under that same brand, created to encourage Filipinos to explore more of our own country and discover even more reasons to love the Philippines,” Angara-Mathay said.
She added that the campaign was developed by the DOT’s in-house branding team at no additional cost to the government.
”True to its mandate, the DOT will promote destinations, provide tourism information and connect travelers with accredited tourism enterprises; we will not be involved in booking trips or selling travel packages because our job is to make it easier for travelers to discover legitimate destinations and tourism providers while remaining faithful to the principles of transparency, accountability and good governance,” she said.
The DOT said domestic tourism remains a major economic driver, citing Philippine Statistics Authority data showing tourism expenditure reached P3.26 trillion in 2025 while the industry generated 7.7 million jobs and accounted for 15.7 percent of total employment.
Tourism industry groups, including the Hotels Sales and Marketing Association, Tourism Congress of the Philippines, Philippine Tour Operators Association and Philippine Hotel Owners Association, expressed support for the campaign, describing it as a coordinated effort that will strengthen collaboration between government and the private sector.
The campaign was formally launched during the Central Philippines Tourism Expo 2026 in Nuvali, Santa Rosa, Laguna.
