Kota Kinabalu: It was double happiness for Sabah and for Royal Sabah Turf Club (RSTC) with Sabah Star and Sabah Ace coming in first in their respective races on Derby Day at Singapore Turf Club last Sunday (July 23).
Sabah Star’s win was racing in perfection. Sabah Star jumped out perfectly, quickly raced to the front before settling down a couple of positions behind.
Galloping confidently near the rails, Sabah Star patiently bided his time and then threw down the gauntlet round the bend and towards the home stretch.
The late challenge of another horse, See Yah, was quickly put to rest by Sabah Star. A thoroughly well-deserved win indeed.
