THE Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has warned individuals against falsifying official documents of the agency, including memoranda, special orders, and appointment papers, using the signature of Secretary Vince Dizon.
In a statement on Friday, the DPWH said that those involved in the unauthorized use of Dizon’s signature could face administrative or criminal charges.
This came after the agency received reports of individuals allegedly producing fake documents bearing the secretary’s name and signature to defraud others.
Also, the DPWH urged the public to carefully check documents (it purportedly issued) and to be alert to unauthorized or illegal use of Dizon’s signature.
It called on the public to report suspicious documents or activities involving the secretary’s name or signature through the DPWH Hotline 165-02, the agency’s social media accounts, or by email at citizens_feedback@dpwh.gov.ph.
The agency said reports from the public could help prevent the use of fraudulent documents and hold those responsible accountable.
