There was no such regulations on age limit previously, he said.

Based on the unofficial results earlier, Dr Akmal obtained votes from 102 of 189 divisions, defeating three other candidates for the post in the party election.
This was confirmed by Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki, who congratulated Dr Akmal for winning the wing's chief post.
