PENAMPANG: Former Kapayan Assemblyman Dr Edwin Jack Bosi has been named as the Parti Kesejahteraan Demokratik Masyarakat (PKDM) candidate for the Kapayan state constituency.

The announcement was made by the party’s Deputy President cum 17th State Election Director Datuk Wetrom Bahanda during the party’s machinery launch for the Kapayan constituency in Hungab, here, Sunday.

Edwin, joined PKDM several weeks ago and was subsequently appointed as the party’s coordinator for the area.

He represented Kapayan from 2013 to 2018 following the 13th General Election. Edwin also contested in the 16th State Election in Kepayan on a Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) ticket but lost to Warisan candidate Datuk Jannie Lasimbang.

Wetrom had earlier announced three candidates for the upcoming state election, namely former Sabah footballer Henry Saimpon, veteran singer John Samud and former Sabah Finance Permanent Secretary Datuk Rusdin Riman.

Other previously announced PKDM candidates include Datuk Jeffry Mohd Ali (Kundasang), Dr Oswald Aisat Igau (Tulid), Dr Gaim Lunkapis (Tamparuli), Mckery Victor (Moyog) and Datuk Almudin Kaida.
