Prof (Dr) Savita Gupta has taken charge as the principal of Government College, Hoshiarpur. A seasoned academician and administrator, she brings with her nearly 30 years of rich experience in teaching, research and institutional leadership.
Dr Gupta possesses postgraduate qualifications in Education, Botany and Political Science, besides holding a PhD in Information and Communication Technology. Before joining Government College, she was serving as Professor and Head, Faculty Development, at Lovely Professional University. She has also served as Principal of SD College, Hoshiarpur and Maharana Pratap Government College, Dholbaha.
Her research work has earned registered copyrights, highlighting her contribution to educational technology and higher education reforms. Speaking after assuming office, Dr Gupta said, “We will not merely be witnesses to history, we will write it. Let your curiosity be your compass and your character be your cornerstone."
