A VIDEO circulating on Threads has drawn criticism from social media users after a driver was allegedly caught brake-checking another motorist following a dispute over right of way.

The footage, uploaded by Threads user @kentang.022, shows a car entering from a joining lane without giving way to the dashcam vehicle travelling along the main road. The driver then appears to brake suddenly in front of the dashcam car, raising concerns about potentially dangerous driving.

In the caption, the uploader claimed the driver had run a red light before allegedly brake-checking the dashcam vehicle after being honked at. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident have not been independently verified.

The video prompted calls for the incident to be reported to the authorities. Threads user @evilkiey91 suggested submitting a report through the Volunteer Smartphone Patrol (VSP) application, describing the alleged behaviour as road rage and dangerous driving.

Another user, @harishue46, called on the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) to clarify how such cases are handled, particularly when a driver deliberately brakes in front of another vehicle and a collision occurs. The user also questioned how dashcam footage could help establish responsibility in such incidents.

The incident has renewed discussions about road courtesy and the risks of retaliatory driving. Motorists are advised to remain calm, maintain a safe following distance and avoid aggressive manoeuvres, even when other drivers fail to give way.
