
Kota Kinabalu: A 30-year-old trailer lorry driver was killed after his vehicle crashed into an SESB utility pole in front of Kampung Gudon, here, on Tuesday.
The fire department said they found the lorry had collided with the utility pole, with the driver thrown from the vehicle and buried in the ground on impact.
The victim was extricated after nearly three hours of work, however, he showed no signs of life and was pronounced dead at the scene by Ministry of Health personnel.
