
KOTA MARUDU: A man was killed when the Perodua Myvi he was driving lost control, skidded, and overturned in a banana plantation on Jalan Langkon near here early Monday morning.
Kota Marudu Fire and Rescue Station Chief Hasbi Hajat said the victim, identified as Grandson Poyo, 36, was pronounced dead at the scene by a medical officer.
According to Hasbi, firefighters rushed to the scene immediately after receiving an emergency call at 1.02am.
He said that upon arriving at the scene at 1.15am, the fire crew worked to extricate the victim, who was trapped in the driver's seat, before handing the body over to the police for further action.
