
PENAMPANG: The district Narcotics Crime Investigation Division arrested 12 male suspects aged 20 to 59 for various offences under the Dangerous Drugs Act in a three-day “Op Tapis” that ended last Wednesday (Jan 31).
Penampang District Police Chief Supt Sammy Newton said the operation targeted three different locations around Putatan and Penampang.
He said 15 individuals were inspected and syabu weighing 5.45gm, worth RM1,100, were seized, adding all those arrested were taken to the Penampang Police Headquarters for further action.
The case is being investigated under Sections 39A(1), 12(3) and 15 (1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
