
TAWAU: Police arrested two locals with 150gm of Syabu estimated to be worth RM12,000 in the Felda Umas area, Kalabakan, Wednesday.
Tawau District Police Chief, ACP Jasmin Hussin said the 33 and 36-year-old suspects were arrested during the Esszone operations dubbed ‘Op Taring’.
He said the two suspects were arrested by a police team from Company C of Tawau’s General Operations Force (PGA) while carrying out patrols in Felda Umas Jetty.
Jasmin said before the arrest, police saw a Proton Saga car driven by the two suspects parked suspiciously in the area.

Jasmin said as a result of the inspection on the waist bag, police found a white plastic bag containing three transparent plastic packets suspected to be syabu.
He said the two suspects along with the seized items were then taken to the Narcotics Crime Investigation Division at the Tawau District Police Headquarters for further action and investigation carried out in accordance with Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act (ADB) 1952.
In the meantime, he said, the results of the urine test on the suspects found that they were positive for Methamphetamine and Amphetamine.
