THE Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) is expanding its Pamilya sa Bagong Pilipinas (PBP) mobile hubs in malls nationwide to bring government social protection services closer to more Filipino families.
Managed by the DSWD’s Social Technology Bureau, the mobile hubs serve as one-stop centers where families can undergo profiling and registration through the PBP Registry to determine their needs and connect them with appropriate non-monetary government interventions.
“Through Pamilya sa Bagong Pilipinas, we are bringing programs that provide long-term support closer to our fellow Filipinos to address their needs and help them become more resilient and capable of improving their lives,” DSWD Assistant Secretary Irene Dumlao said.
The DSWD said the initiative is designed to improve access to services beyond direct financial assistance by linking families to programs suited to their specific circumstances.
This week, PBP mobile hubs are operating at SM City Sucat in Parañaque City, SM City Bacolod in Negros Occidental, and SM Center Tuguegarao Downtown in Cagayan Valley from July 14 to 16.
The department is also maintaining a PBP mobile hub at Robinsons Butuan in Agusan del Norte from Monday to Wednesday until Aug. 31 to reach more beneficiaries in the region.
Families visiting the hubs are encouraged to bring their Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) ID to facilitate faster processing and more efficient matching with available DSWD programs.
“At the Pamilya sa Bagong Pilipinas hubs, we conduct profiling and assessment to ensure that every family is connected to the agency’s programs that truly address their situation, as our goal is to make the delivery of services to every Filipino more responsive, more efficient, and more appropriate,” Dumlao said.
The PBP Registry, launched in May 2025, enables social workers to assess the needs of families and recommend suitable interventions under the department’s various social protection programs.
