MANILA, Philippines — After President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. urged Filipinos to collect rainwater using buckets, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) is set to provide water filtration kits to Filipinos to prepare for the super El Niño.
During a Palace press briefing on Wednesday, DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian demonstrated how the Sawyer Water Filtration System works.
The Sawyer Water Filtration System removes virtually all bacteria and protozoa, as well as 100 percent of microplastics.
Gatchalian said they would distribute the filtration kit starting next week, prioritizing those under a state of calamity.
It can be remembered that the president last year publicly drank water produced by the water filtration kit.
