Fugitive blogger Raja Petra Kamarudin (RPK) asserted that UMNO deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan (Tok Mat) has proven to be a strong contender for prime minister (PM) and received overwhelming support from UMNO, Bersatu, and PAS, arguing that the Dubai Move is not a false alarm.

The opposition-leaning mercenary blogger revealed that Tok Mat's candidacy has been communicated to the Yang di-Pertuan Agong (YDPA), who has approved the Rembau MP-turned-foreign minister taking over as the 11th PM (PMXI). This revelation raises questions about whether the blogger is simply creating a ruckus to undermine the unity government.

According to The Coverage, RPK, however, qualified his statement by saying that time is of the essence, since the Dubai Move must be completed either before or during the reign of Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar, who will become the 17th YDPA on January 31, or else the clock will run out.

In his most recent video clip from Manchester, UK, RPK defended his positions, saying that “both (PAS president) Tan Sri Hadi Awang and (Bersatu president and Perikatan Nasional chairman) Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin are not interested.”

“Suspended former UMNO vice-president Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein, suspended Bersatu secretary-general Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin, and suspended Bersatu information chief Datuk Seri Azmin Ali did not receive unanimous support.”

Though the PM candidate has been announced, RPK was humble in describing the ominous Dubai Move to topple the unity government as very much a "work-in-progress" due to a few outstanding obstacles.

Without revealing the identities of the aforementioned MPs or his sources, RPK stated, “According to the initial plan, a few MPs from UMNO, as well as Sabah and Sarawak, will pull out their support from PM Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's government and a new government with majority support will be formed.”

“However, UMNO MPs are still hesitant because they don't think Sabah and Sarawak can provide the necessary majority support.”

RPK further revealed that until Sarawak Premier Tan Sri Abang Johari Openg told PM Anwar about the treachery act, the latter was first ignorant of it.

He said, “Anwar is now aware of the UMNO MPs' hesitancy and is clamping down on the players with a sort of pre-emptive action that could prove costly to the conspiracy.”

Before the Dubai Move's execution five weeks ago (early December), according to RPK, the plan was devised a few months earlier while Sultan Abdullah was in Dubai for His Majesty's one-week special visit to the United Arab Emirates (Nov 29–Dec 4).

"That's when a few MPs and some former PMs went to Dubai and informed the Agong that Anwar had lost his majority in the Parliament and that they had obtained the majority number," he continued.
