
Dusit Hotels and Resorts expands its footprint with a new local property
Dusit Hotels and Resorts has announced the soft opening of its first hotel in Malaysia, the Dusit Princess Melaka. The hospitality property from Thailand’s leading hotel and property developer, Dusit International had a soft opening on 7 December 2024. 
Historic Location
Nestled in the heart of Melaka, a UNESCO World Heritage City known for its vibrant culture and rich history, the hotel marks a significant step in Dusit’s expansion into the Malaysian market. The historical city’s status as a global tourist hub continues to grow, attracting millions of visitors annually with its unique blend of heritage and health tourism.
In 2024 alone, the state welcomed approximately 10 million visitors, surpassing its target of 8.7 million. Dusit Princess Melaka is strategically located to cater to this growing international audience, particularly tourists from China and Singapore. The hotel seamlessly blends Dusit’s signature Thai-inspired hospitality with a contemporary design, offering an ideal stay for both business and leisure travellers. 
Reinventing Itself
Occupying the former Ramada Plaza Melaka building, the hotel has undergone a complete refurbishment and rebranding to embody the essence of the Dusit Princess brand. With 296 elegantly appointed rooms, ranging from Deluxe rooms to the expansive Presidential Suite, each space is designed for comfort, ensuring a relaxing stay for families, solo travellers and business executives alike.
Guests can unwind with a fully equipped gym and a large swimming pool, or indulge in a range of dining options. Zest, the all-day dining restaurant, offers an extensive buffet, while Long Feng serves authentic Chinese cuisine and signature dim sum. The hotel also features state-of-the-art meeting facilities and a grand ballroom for up to 1,000 guests.
