MANILA, Philippines — Vice President Sara Duterte on Tuesday denied allegations made by dismissed police officer Rodulfo Gracioso Jr., saying she will submit her affidavit to the National Bureau of Investigation on Thursday.
“I strongly deny the statements of Gracioso Jr. in his sworn affidavit and media interviews linking me to events that I did not do, did not know about, or did not personally experience,” Duterte said at a press briefing in Davao City.
Duterte said she would address Gracioso’s allegations in her affidavit but would not disclose all her evidence and explanations.
"I will not let Gracioso and his scriptwriters to tailor their account based on information in my records,' she said.
Gracioso has alleged that he delivered cash and other items to members of the Duterte family on the instructions of former House Speaker Lord Allan Velasco.
