Former Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri continues to be linked with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's job at Manchester United.

Tuttosport says Tottenham have also been in contact, though he has kept them at arm's length as he favours the United post.

And should Allegri be offered the job, he plans to take with him in January Juve pair Emre Can and Mario Mandzukic.

Juve would be keen for United to appoint Allegri as it will save around 8m from his outstanding salary and also of his staff, many of whom would be expected to follow him to Old Trafford.

United meet runaway Premier League leaders Liverpool on Sunday.
