A MAN who became critically ill after years of heavy vaping issued a stark warning about the dangers of electronic cigarettes shortly before passing away last Wednesday.
His emotional video message, uploaded to the TikTok account @radzirockrider on 28 April, has since gone viral after his wife confirmed his death in the comments section.
In the six-minute video, the man recounted the painful struggles he endured over the past four years due to his vaping addiction, which began as a way to cope with work-related stress.
“Two weeks ago, I was admitted to the ward due to heart failure. My heart was only functioning at three percent and I had to be put under sedation to receive oxygen,” Sinar Harian cited him saying.
Describing himself as a habitual user, he recalled how he would vape constantly—even while riding his motorcycle on long-distance trips.
“If I stopped vaping for two days, I’d get short of breath and eventually had to be rushed to the hospital,” he added.
His condition deteriorated to the point where he required oxygen support and underwent a lung procedure to drain out yellow fluid and pus.
He also revealed that during his hospital stay, at least four fellow patients—each of them young—died from vape-related complications.
“To those who still have a chance to quit, please stop. Vape not only damages your lungs, but it can weaken your heart too,” he said.
“It’s pure suffering when things get to this stage.”
The man’s poignant appeal has drawn widespread sympathy and sparked renewed public concern over the health risks associated with vaping, especially among young people. - May 10, 2025
