Dyson has today introduced its slimmest, most agile cordless vacuum cleaner yet: the Dyson PencilVac, a revolutionary addition to the brand’s growing lineup of high-performance home appliances.
Designed for precision cleaning in tight and often overlooked spaces, the PencilVac boasts an ultra-slim 38mm diameter and weighs just 1.8kg. Its minimalist form allows it to lay flat under low furniture, slide effortlessly into narrow crevices, and clean edge-to-edge in any direction – even backwards or sideways – with remarkable ease.
At the heart of the PencilVac is Dyson’s most compact and advanced motor to date: the Hyperdymium 140k. Just 28mm wide—comparable in size to a 50-cent coin—this tiny powerhouse spins at up to 140,000 revolutions per minute, delivering 55 air watts (AW) of suction power.
With a 34% improvement in power density compared to its predecessor, every component has been meticulously miniaturised for maximum efficiency.
Complementing the motor is the newly engineered FluffyCones cleaner head, a first-of-its-kind vacuum head featuring four cone-shaped, soft rollers. These cones are specially designed to automatically detangle and eject long strands of hair as they clean, eliminating the hassle of cutting away tangled hair from traditional brush bars.
The PencilVac also marks a leap forward in smart cleaning. It is the first cordless vacuum from Dyson to connect with the MyDyson app, enabling users to customise cleaning settings, receive real-time maintenance notifications, and access guided care tutorials for optimal performance.
Despite its global launch, the Dyson PencilVac is currently not available in Malaysia. However, interested consumers can register to be notified of local pricing and availability or follow Dyson Malaysia on Instagram or Facebook for updates.
