Olivier Giroud insists his priority was always to stay with Chelsea.
The striker penned a new deal towards the end of last season amid confirmed interest from Nice, Lyon and Marseille.
But Giroud told Radio France Bleu, "At no time I have been in direct or close contact with Nice.
"As long as I've known, I was going to extend the adventure in Chelsea.
"I heard in the press that there was a Nice interest."
