Kota Kinabalu: Each quality high-voltage direct current (DC) charging station installed for electric vehicles will cost high-rise strata property developers around RM100,000.

The Malaysian Government encourages the installation of Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Bays (EVCBs) throughout the country.

Shareda President Datuk Sr Chua Soon Ping said currently Shareda members were encouraged to build more landed properties which could be delivered to buyers in smaller development phases instead of high-density high-rise strata property development that needed to be fully completed before occupancy certificate and subsidiary titles could be finalised and delivered to buyers.

As for his Bay Suites strata development, Sr. Chua said he was going to provide fast charging DC EVCBs for residents as well as for the public.
