MANILA, Philippines — Alex Eala begins her campaign at the Internationaux de Strasbourg with a first-round clash against Ukrainian qualifier Oleksandra Oliynykova in France.
The match is scheduled on Monday at 6:50 p.m. (Manila time) on the Patrice Dominguez Court of the WTA 500 event.
This will be the first meeting between Eala and Oliynykova.
Oliynykova, world ranked No. 68, is coming off a stint at the Italian Open in Rome, where she reached the Round of 32 before bowing to Czech bet Linda Noskova, 1-6, 3-6.
Should Eala get past Oliynykova, she will face the winner between Czech Republic players eighth seed Marie Bouzkova and Katerina Siniakova in the second round. TMT
