Easter has arrived early for animals at Whipsnade Zoo in the UK, with keepers treating penguins, lemurs and ferrets to a collection of mouth-watering treats.

Whipsnade's colony of endangered European rockhopper penguins were encouraged to go on their very own Easter egg hunt to find fish hidden amongst colourful cardboard eggs.

Meanwhile, the zoo's seven endangered ring-tailed lemurs were busy sorting through bunny shaped puzzle feeders containing their favourite breakfast of sweetcorn.

Whipsnade Zoo is part of the Zoological Society of London, a science-driven conservation charity working to restore wildlife in the UK and around the world.
